Meet Our Minnetonka Veterinary Team

Dr. Kendall Wallace has been in general practice since 2019 after she completed a rotating internship and specialty internship in Internal Medicine. She has enjoyed the transition and the opportunity to meet new pets and owners. Dr. Wallace completed her veterinary training at St. George’s University, graduating summa cum laude. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, running around the many lakes in Minnesota,  and spending time with her husband and three cats, Cyrus and Dharma and Higgins.

Dr. Young attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison for her undergraduate studies. Her lifelong love of pets drew her to the veterinary profession, and she attended veterinary school at St. George’s University on the beautiful island of Grenada in the Caribbean. She completed her veterinary schooling at North Carolina State University and graduated in 2019. Despite the cold, she is excited to be back in her native Minnesota as a veterinarian. Her professional interests include internal medicine, dermatology, and dentistry. Outside of veterinary medicine she enjoys cooking, being outdoors, travelling, and watching movies.

Mara began her career as a Veterinary Assistant 8 years ago and has been with Wellhaven for 2 years, both at our Bloomington Urgent Care hospital and our Minnetonka location. She has a special interest in palliative and end of life care, where she values the ongoing development of ways to provide comfort and care for both pets AND their people in times of crisis. Mara lives in Minneapolis with her two very naughty, but adorable kitties, and loves exploring Minnesota with her girlfriend. Outside of work, you are guaranteed to find her rock climbing or creating art of any kind.

Rosie is one of our talented Veterinary Assistants. She has been with Wellhaven for 3 years, but started her journey in the field 8 years ago working in shelter medicine.  Rosie especially loves working with our feline patients, from kittens to fractious cats. At home, you’ll find Rosie with her fiancé and her ever-loving two cats. She is an avid reader who can be found with a book on her at (nearly) all times, but she also enjoys dabbling in crafts, sewing and spending time with her loved ones.

Rachel is a CVT of 12 years, and has been with Wellhaven for 3. Rachel loves working with our geriatric patients, and also dedicates a lot of time building trust with our more anxious patients—she’s got the magic touch when it comes to timid pets. When she’s not at work, she’s traveling with her husband, spending time with her two daughters, and caring for her small zoo that includes: 2 dogs, 1 cat, 1 snail, 1 eel, 1 fiddler crab, 1 frog, and a tank full of fish! She enjoys being crafty, reading piles of books, and taking her dog Lucky on play dates.

Wee is our Reception Assistant that has graced us with her presence for 3 years. She came into Rachel’s life while Rachel was working in shelter medicine. Wee was a surrender that was not able to be touched or handled. Even after working with behaviorists, she still refused to let anyone touch her. She was considered unadoptable. But, after lots of patience and offerings of many soft blankets, she rested her head on Rachel’s lap, and the rest is history. Her favorite parts of her job include: resting in her stroller, supervising cleaning tasks, and helping bring trash to the garbage room (her ultimate favorite). We are so lucky to have Wee!

Kyle is our Practice Manager. She has been a CVT for 10 years and in the veterinary field for 12 years. She joined WellHaven in 2018 and helped open up the Minnetonka hospital. Kyle has a special interest in dentistry and staff development. She is a very hands-on manager, and you will still see her treating and caring for patients and continuing her tech duties. She has a rambunctious Bernise Moutain Dog at home named Frito and a toothless cat named Edgar. In her spare time, Kyle loves to spend time with her 2 kids and husband by going on nature walks or curling up with a good book on the couch.
